"Me and EEEEEE have an entire history in another timeline and he's one of the most capable heroes I know. He's just an alien who needs to be understood, and he can only be understood by exploring other bodies."
Niflheim to Seran Dol-Abi[1]

Staxx, also known as EEEEEE due to the shrill sound he makes when possessing bodies, is a disembodied consciousness of unknown origins who was one of Niflheim's allies on Niflheim's World. After being inadvertently transported to the world of Dantooine in the Original Universe, EEEEEE created a cult-like organization named the Dolissima Orthodoxy to explore his origins and advance his goals.

Description[edit | edit source]

Staxx has no physical appearance, being a disembodied consciousness, but his hosts' eyes glow green when fully possessed. Staxx also appears to amplify the latent abilities of his hosts, for example by giving Force-sensitives much greater powers of clairvoyance than they would naturally be able to attain. Personality-wise, Staxx appears to exhibit no emotions aside from curiosity about his origins and the nature of the multiverse.

History[edit | edit source]

Beyond Human[edit | edit source]

At some point in the history of Niflheim's World, Staxx was recruited by Niflheim and his allies, which also included Chad, Drepp, and Mina Bjork, to help them fight injustice on their version of Earth. Staxx also gained the nickname "EEEEEE" due to the shrill noise he made while possessing bodies. Nif and his allies could never get deep enough into Staxx's mind to determine his origins, but one of them was convinced that Staxx pre-dated their universe.[1]

Building the Orthodoxy[edit | edit source]

When Niflheim was inadvertently transported to the Original Universe's Hell, Staxx was also transported to the Original Universe, arriving in the core of Dantooine significantly further back on the timeline than Niflheim. While exploring ways to manipulate the physics of this new universe, Staxx tapped into the Force, prompting a Jedi researcher named Dolissima to investigate the disturbance. Upon discovering Staxx, Dolissima and her allies used their mastery of the Force to bind him to an altar, keeping him contained while siphoning his incredible power to augment their abilities and delving into his mind to learn his secrets. Unbeknownst to the Jedi, the deeper they delved, the more Staxx was able to influence their minds, until he was able to possess Dolissima completely. Through Dolissima, Staxx created the Dolissima Orthodoxy, a cult-like organization dedicated to researching Staxx and widening his knowledge of both himself and the Force.[1]

Over the years, Staxx, who was known to his hosts only as "EEEEEE" for the same reason he gained the nickname on Niflheim's World, grew bored of Dantooine and planned to leave the backwater planet to spread his consciousness across the stars. However, his plans were thwarted in 150,071 CMT when one of his disciples named Seran Dol-Abi discovered EEEEEE's plans and decided to go on a rampage, having resisted EEEEEE's influence by transferring much of his knowledge into the other cult members. After killing half of the cultists in self-defence, Seran destroyed the only spaceport on the planet and escaped aboard the last available spacecraft. EEEEEE's plans were further delayed when Seran told the Galactic Government that there had been an outbreak of a deadly virus on Dantooine, causing them to cordon off the planet and prevent any more host bodies or ships from arriving to Dantooine. However, since EEEEEE had implanted part of his consciousness into Seran's, he knew that Seran would carry him with him wherever he went, and that EEEEEE would be able to influence him to return. EEEEEE spent the next thirteen years beneath the surface of Dantooine waiting for his lost disciple to return.[1]

The Mazkertis Paradox[edit | edit source]

In 150,084 CMT (Day 76 of The Mazkertis Paradox arc), several months after Nif arrived in the Original Universe, Nif was contacted in the Dreamscape by Mina, who theorized that the Original Universe was a splinter timeline of their universe. Mina also told Nif that he might be able to return home by finding the Original Universe's versions of their allies, including EEEEEE, and determining what the divergence point was. Upon arriving at Atuar Sadiares to begin his search, Nif was approached by Seran Dol-Abi, who claimed that he had received a vision in the Force that had told him that it was his destiny to help Nif find the Original Universe's versions of Nif's friends. Nif was surprised to hear that Seran Dol-Abi's vocal affliction which caused him to elongate every "ee" sound was part of a "gift" said to be inherited from "the great EEEEEE himself", because EEEEEE himself was one of Nif's friends. Although initially reluctant due to his history with EEEEEE, Seran eventually agreed to take Nif to Dantooine aboard his starfighter.[2]

Upon arriving at the entrance to the Orthodoxy's headquarters on Dantooine, Seran was engaged in combat by Abirthan, his former master, before EEEEEE took control of Abirthan to put an end to the duel. EEEEEE approached Nif out of curiosity, finding him familiar but not immediately recognizing him due to the degradation of his memories over the years. After explaining the history of the Orthodoxy to Nif, EEEEEE prepared to kill Seran to prevent him from interfering with his plans again, but was prevented from doing so by Nif, who correctly deduced that EEEEEE didn't really want more bodies: he merely wanted one, exceptionally strong body that would enable him to use his power to its fullest potential. In exchange for Seran's life, Nif offered EEEEEE the body of Mazkertis, an exceptionally powerful sorcerer with the ability to rewrite history. Realizing that Mazkertis's powers might help them to answer the question of how they both ended up in the Original Universe, EEEEEE agreed, while also withdrawing the last remnants of his consciousness from Seran's mind, removing Seran's lisp in the process.[1]
